1988 Range Rover modified for off-road use

100k miles on vehicle. 3.5L V8 engine runs very well and strong, but has lifter noise. transmission and transfer case shift smoothly.

The vehicle is lifted a total of 5", with Old Man Emu 764 springs in the front w/ 1" RoverTym spacer, and RoverTym 3" 285lb/in springs in the rear along with a 2" RoverTym spacer. Rear shock mounts have been changed to RoverTym units, and the shocks are Rancho RS9000s front and rear. The part numbers are 9005 rear and 9207 front. Vehicle also has all new blue poly bushings throughout. The suspension rides very well and is not sloppy in corners, it is extremely civilized.

East Coast Rover steering stabilizer relocation kit with HD drag link, and Rockware "bent" tie rod. F/R safarigard diff guards.

Vehicle has a Detroit Locker fitted in the rear, with stock axleshafts. It operates seamlessly on road and off.

Tires are Q78-15 Super Swamper TSLs, which measure out to be approximately 35.5" tall, and 10.5" wide. They are essentially brand new. Wheels are 15" diameter from a Series Land Rover.

Equipped with RoverTym front and rear bumpers, as well as rocksliders. These units are very stout and stand up to abuse very well. You will never need another set of bumpers.

Fender wells have been tastefully trimmed following the factory line. There is no interference of the tires with the bodywork.

The alternator is bad, and will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The driveshaft u joints (especially the front) need to be rebuilt, or the front driveshaft replaced with a CV joint style.

The vehicle is not very rusty at all- some rot in the footwells but it is not severe. the frame is in excellent shape, still having 95% of the factory paint on it. The rest of the bodyshell is in very good condition.

The interior is also in very good shape, with no rips or tears in the leather seats. The dash is not cracked, nor are any of the trim panels.

Mechanically this vehicle is in good condition. The engine runs great and starts right away. All this Range Rover needs to be the ultimate vehicle is a new alternator and a new front driveshaft!

Located in Southborough, Ma. Delivery a possibility for extra cost, and within reasonable distance.

asking $5000

Here is a pic from its most recent wheeling trip in November-
