As stated the 351C is a small block and shares the 302 bell.michigander said:the 351W is a small block.... so any C6 from a 351W, 302, 300, etc will bolt up.
The 351M is a big block so any 351M, 390, 400, 460 etc will bolt up.
I believe a 351C is considered a BB, but I honestly don't know.
Actually FE motors and Y blocks are two entirely different engine families. FEs consisted of the 352, 360, 390, 427, and 428cj and scj there was also a 401 or something like that. Y blocks were, I think, 292 and 312(early T-Bird) there might have been more. The Windsors (289, 302 and 351) and 240 and 300 sixes and the 351C all share the same bell housing bolt pattern. The Ms (351 and 400) and the 370, 429 and 460s share the same pattern. The FEs and Y blocks are all by themselves.emsoffroad said:

Show me a 390 that bolts where a 460 is. The 390 is a "Y" block and part of the FE family. They have a diffrent bell pattern.
