over memorial day weekend We cut the IFS off and went solid axle on the truck.... I used the All-pro front hanger and shackle, 2.5 inch YJ springs and crossover steering in the front. The rear are 63" chevys with the overload leaf removed and a double shackle on the backside....there are no shocks at the moment

The axle

I did my Tacoma SAS last weekend using Chevys out back and AllPro 5" up front. My rear is about 6" lower than the front -and- I even used a 4" drop hangar in the rear along with a 6" shackle. I'm going with a 10" shackle and a 2" block this weekend.

Looks just like mine, minus the roll bar, bed bob, and articulation.
I wouldn't use blocks though...

Go get it!! Looks great for a couple of High School kids.
Now a word of safety advice, Never use bricks, concrete blocks, rocks under jack stands, they can break, shatter real quick. Find a construction site and there scrap pile and get some wooden header materal 4 x 10, 4 x 12 and use that to put your stands on.

The problem is that you never know when they are going to decide to let go. I am speaking from experence, luckly I was not under the 55 Chevy when it let go even though it still had it's tires and wheels on it. It only sat 4 1/2" off the ground in the front and when the bricks shattered the front x-member bounced off the drive way and chipped it!!!!

wait until the all pros settle, bob! they go down about 2 inches or so after the first 1500 miles and/or a trail run or two.
