i didnt know you were one in the same mace ....
right on!
i've been out in the shop tryin to figure this out
i bought these new from a vendor on this board(no names here)
and they are two different ratios
i can get 5 rotations on the pinion, and just over 1 rotation on the tire
does that sound like a 5.29 set?

sorry that was the rear.....
the front rotates at almost 2pinion revs. to 1 tire rev.(thats with a open front)
that cant be right can it?
we checked the front a couple of times, every time it was almost a 2-1 combo.
this just blows!!!!!

the rear sounds like a 4.88
and the front with an open diff would spin twice as fast as the rear

so 2:1 with one tire on the ground makes sense

jason, i'm not following you on this comment.

are you saying the rear sounds like a 4.88? with the 5 to 1+ rotations
but what about the front? this is what is throwing me off......
cause with the whole rig in the air, the front tires spin quite a bit quicker
than the rears.
then on flat ground wheels straight,i can go maybe 5ft before it binds up.

thanx mace

With only one wheel turning on an open diff, the spiders are basically doubling your ratio for you. Measure accuratly your pinion to wheel turns, then double it. To me it sounds like you've got stock 4.11s in the front and 4.88s in the rear. 5.29 cruiser gears are pretty rare and just over one pinion turn for five tire turns computes to 4.88 to me. That would bind like a mofo on pavement.
