I have an 87 22R. I want to convert it to the EFI set up. I know that i need all the intake parts, wiring harness, gas tank/fuel pump to support the higher pressure system, etc.

My question is...Will the EFI intake bolt up to my 22r head, or will i have to switch that out too?

I'd say that an 85 or newer should bolt up. 83 (or 84) and older heads are different port design and won't work.

Just beware of smog bs before you buy any parts and make sure that you get all the parts off same donor truck to avoid any problems. Probably best if the parts are same year (or newer) than your truck.

I want to do efi swap as soon as funds are available...but need crossover steering first.

The head will most likely work. Carefully count ALL of the threaded holes on the intake side, if there are 20 the EFI will bolt up.

Don't forget to replace all of your fuel lines. The old lines are low pressure hoses. You'll need high pressure hoses to handle the fuel pump being in the tank.
