I was checking out the new exhaust I had put on and I noticed that there's a slight bit of play in the rubber surrounding the carrier bearing located in the middle of my 2 piece drive shaft. Is that acceptable and is there something better than stock to replace it with if it's doing to die on me? I have a quad cab so a 1 piece DS isn't an option, too long and not worth the money in my case.

I'm no Dodge guy, but a little give in the rubber cushion on the support bearing is pretty normal. My Ford does it, my Supra does it, and every other 2 piece DS I've tinkered with on Toyotas does it. Do you have any abnormal noises or vibrations?
