I was at the local PnP and was pullin a part off a celica and happened to notice that the PS box looked identical to the one on an 86 and newer PU\4runner down to the pitman arm. It does sit back closer to the firewall but thats not a big deal. I did see it also bolted to the inside of the frame and the Truck bolts to the outside. Question is for anyone who knows is this the same unit and will it work??

Lots of Sami guys use those Celica boxes, and they work ok for a Sami. They arent the same though, you cant interchange things like pitmans etc. (at least on the ones we tried) the Celica out put has a much smaller shaft. For anyhting much heavier than a Sami I'd use the IFS box.

trailtoy on this BBS has a Celica box installed by the previous owner. Seems to work just fine, the only thing I don't like about it is the draglink is a little shorter (every little bit helps w/ bumpsteer!) <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> Oh, and it is set up as the "low-steer" regular X-over type.
