I have a Ironhorse Showdown and the chain throws a little oil on my pants ( I ride on campus ). How can I stop this. I do want to keep my gears lubed but don't like the bottem of my right pant leg to be oiled and black.

Go to your local shop and ask for one of the dry wax lubes. Stays clean but you need to put on more often. If you don't ride off road or in adverse conditions too often the dry stuff works well. Make sure your chain is very clean prior to the first application.

This stuff wears off real quick!

use a dry lube or wipe off excess lube after oiling.
Put a rubber band around your ankle to keep pant leg fronm rubbing chain.
