just for the people who didn't no it could be done. you don't need a new fly wheel it cost me $18.00 for the ring. sliced the old one & knocked it off. baked the new one at 500* for about an hour and it was cake.

Do you have the high altitude recipe for the people in CO?:D

I need to do this on my tow rig (460 ford) where did you get the ring and did you just use the house oven

Most ring gears are readily available at the your local parts house.

I fyou want ot speed the process up put the flywheel in the freezer while you bake the ring gear, about 15 minutes with each and you should be good to go, the ring gear should just drop right on.

Heating it with a torch make sit go really fast be I prefer the oven so there is no chance of changeing the hardness of the gear,

ya what DUG said. got mine at a clutch and brake place?
As for altitude I think you just put the ring in the oven upside down;)
