They are similar, but not the same. There are a considerable number of small differences that come out and grab you by the balls when you´re not looking.........

Yes, it´s a the front dif is high pinion, revese cut. The ratio is 3.91. I don´t remember the inner spline count, but IIRC it´s exactly the same as the older Samurais.

I´ve got both of my original axles gathering dust in my boat shed. That front high pinion was sweet, but I wanted more beef, so I went to Danas.......

If you´re refering to only the front diffs, yeah, there´s prolly some way to send them Stateside. If you´re talking about the newer Samurai as an entire vehicle, not likely......

Chrysler and Consumer Reports have seen to that.......

Well Bill,if you ever decide to come north to the States,bring
that front diff.I'll buy it off you.Judging by the amount of dope
and illegal aliens that cross the border it shouldn't be to hard
to smuggle a Samurai chunk.

It could be shipped. However, I have no idea as to how much it would cost.

BTW, the rear R&P would also have to go together, as the ratio (3,91) is different that that of the older Sams........
