The intake tube is from a 5.0 Ford engine w/ K&N filter and a simple hose clamp. The sensor is threaded into the plastic tube.

What year 4.0??? 96 up will trip the CEL with a cat efficiency code. Dump the dumbass K&N filter, it will kill your MAF sensor!

What he said. The best way to improve mileage that I have seen is to drop in a Diesel or a Ford 302. But that's probably not what your looking for.

Mileage improvements are hopeless for these trucks. Best posted mileage I have seen is around 18MPG.

I would like to know more about this ? First time I hear about it ?
