Here it is after sitting for a while. I was looking for something to replace my k5 as the frame has seen better days and having 4 doors and a enclosed cab is a plus. I’ve already picked up a front clip and doors to put the body back together. I plan on using what I can from the k5 is got a lt1 350 t400 203/205 60 front 538s Detroit 14b rear with spool and disk brakes PSC assist and 44 super swampers. I know I’ll be changing it up as I go but that’s what I got to start with.

Man I wanted to buy this thing so bad but I just couldn't swing it with being 95% done with my blazer.

Are you in Oregon? I was just wondering if it stayed close by....

Adamgllc yes I’m in sandy, or.
I got to hand it bark-beetle for all the time spent and quality fab work. I’m trying to get away from having a trailer queen. I know I’m going to have to run smaller tires then 44’s, I’m hoping to squeeze 42’s. And it’s probably going to get a LS. I’m working on the doors first though they are just shells and I want to keep the rain out.

Nice. I'm down in the Salem area, I'll be following your progress. I drooled all over that thing during bark beetles original build thread. Definitely top notch fab work. Good luck on it, looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I have not had much time to work on it, had some trees come down in a storm about a month ago and took out my garage and hit the house but the shop was untouched thankfully. Decided to go with 40” tires so I would not have to reinvent anything.

Looks like it is off to a good start, or re-start. I definitely like it in this form over the mile high mud truck.

Looking forward to more progress & updates.

I sold my k5 now I’m fully committed to the C3. I got the windows and doors all put together and truck moved to the shop with the lift. It’s getting a 6.0 lq9 fitech efi and a cam. Built 4l80e atlas 4 speed arb’s f/r and rcv’s. First I have to pull the 14b and the gas tank and have them hot tanked water got to them. It has dully hubs on the front right now that’s why the front looks the way it dose.

I was hoping my junkyard 6.0 would have looked a little better when opening it up. But on the bright side now it’s getting a 408 stroker kit and ls3 heads had to change out my efi kit from fitech to a ls3 750hp kit. I’m hoping for 500-600hp n/a with a btr ls3 stage1 cam kit. I’ve got a built 4l80e and atlas 4sp on order.
I have everything for the axles now just have to put it all together. Still do not know if I want to go with a Coil over or a ori strut I’m waiting till I have it mostly together so I can weight it before ordering something.

The Fuel tank was not salvageable so I found a 30 gallon aluminum one, going with a in tank 340 pump. Got all the rusty tubing blasted and sanded and painted. And got the gears and lockers set up with a friend. Motor should be ready soon from the Machine shop. sent back the fitech efi going with Holley of fast. Ordered a 4l80e from monster transmission.
