I bought a 82 chevy a few months ago and spun a rod bearing. Already tore down and am pretty sure its not the original motor that came out in the truck and cant get a hold of the guy i bought it off of. Anyone have a id book that lists the id numbers and the meanings?
I got a couple of the numbers off:
VO822TDL - Front Passenger Side
1480207 - Block Id #
CA7103038 - Stamped underneath of the VO... number
R179 - was on a pad on the back of the block
