I have parts from prior builds I'd like to use in my Scout II LS3 swap and would greatly appreciate advice on how to make the package work best (strongest, most reliable, minimal added length) and most economically.

I have a 2001 GM NV4500 (32 spline output) and 4 year old Atlas II t-case currently with a 27 spline input and adapter for a 4l70e trans (what it mated to previously) that I need to connect.

Is my best option to convert the GM NV4500 tail housing to an iron dodge unit and use the recommended spacer by AA (PN51-0220) and grind down the output, plus swap the Atlas from 27 to 32 spline input shaft/bearings?

Problem here is that AA and Summit list the PN 51-0220 as unavailable, and not thrilled about hacking the main shaft. Might a clocking ring be used in place of the AA PN51-0220 to adapt the GM NV4500 to the Atlas without the Dodge tail housing? Might the AA website be wrong on PN 51-0220, and the correct part may be AS-0220?

Any other way to mate these up possibly, such as drilling the GM tail housing or drilling/tapping the Atlas input plate for better alignment?

Any other options?

What about one of these units ?

You could set the length to whatever you want and on top of that you could clock it to what made sense to you.

You'd have to swap the input shaft of the atlas but that's a given.

The gents at NWFab suggested this would work and a little less thread engagement wouldn't be a concern, thoughts?:
