Swapped in a 4.6L 282 about a year ago and has been running hot ever since. Radiator is on it's way out and I want to replace it. Is it overkill to go with a four core radiator? Current one is a stock rad. Sorry for the stupid question--I searched and couldn't find an exact answer.

A three core would probably be fine. That's what I've got in front of my 250I6 Chevy (dumbest swap ever, not my fault). It should be enough provided you run a decent fan.

Yep it is a stock fan and fan clutch. I have been reading the write ups on the taurus fan and am considering doing it. I do not have a shroud however. It got munched last time out and I need to fab up a new one.

Just didn't know if anyone was running a 4-core rad and have any negative feedback. Thanks.
