I was looking at going w/ OME's or something mild'y lifted but better riding then the Ranchos'...oh never mind I'm going w/ the $50.00 JCW's and swaping leafs till I get it right unless anyones got a better Idea...

I used the J.C Whitney springs cuz I'm cheap! They worked ok. A little stiff though. I would look for a softer spring if you want to really stuff it well and compare the price. I have heard that some makes of Rancho are soft and some are REALLY stiff. I'm not sure where the Rancho CJ's falls in there.

Mine came with 5 leaves - I pulled the clamps off & swapped the shortest leaf for the Stock Samurai overload (with several inches cut off of it). My rear fenders are cut & flares moved up as far as possible and 35" BFG's would still touch the flare...
But like I said, I carry a Lot of junk

Ramp Champ...LOL... ..
Nah, I just like the way that my revolvers work, and ride. But I want to go to the longer CJ springs for a better highway ride so the wife doesn't get all pissed off while we're driving to go wheeling.
...Pissed off wife + Wheeling and she driving =

Really though, I like to be comfortable and cap-a-bull, (no I can't spell right now) Hince the Longer Springs, Anything to help this ride, and still be safe..

There were a couple guys from back east (Minnesota?) that were running the Spidertrax setup. It was the yellow/orange with the custom cage. Unfortunately I didn't really get to see it work. I followed out with them, but there wasn't anything difficult enough to really push it.

My spring set up works just about as well as I could ask it for with the type of wheeling I do. The area I wheel in is nothing but hard core Rock. Its nice to flex but all the m-links and buggy leafs and what have you don't get around here. I like flexible to an extent. Besides my rig can still ramp a 1000, after that who cares? It use to flex even more, but I like it better now with less. I'm looking to build a balanced rig, and I think I'm close.. What type of trails is everyone else running.

I've seen the Spidertrax set up, it gets it! However the rear set up is CASH. Not to mention what about the front, all rear and no front doesn't mean shit to me.My .02

Heh FatKid,
Im running tight narrow, muddy, and sometimes rocky trails up here in WA, and thats why I like my stock springs. flex is good w/ the revolvers, but I dont' want over flex or body roll. I love to drive to where I'm wheeling and want a well rounded vech. also... just need bigger tires and alitte better ride..well maybe...

That's Robert's (from Sacto) Tacoma right?

I have to agree about the YJ's. I have then on mine and love the ride. They are soft, but still handle the road pretty well for a lifted zuk. They flex very well offroad. The only thing I need to do to them is get my spring over pads on there. I was dragging on way too many rocks with the springs. Even spring under it did very well on the con considering both diffs are open.
