Getting my TJ back on the trails after sitting for 3 years. It has a Blue Torch Fab cell (like a Genright). Zero fuel pressure, so I pulled the ank and the filter sock was disintegrated and pump inlet gummed up. There a fair amount of residue/junk in the bottom of the tank and I want to clean it out. It's pretty easy to get to portions of the inside, but it does have a couple baffles where it will be impossible to reach the outer thirds of the tank.

Just wondering what I should use? Thought about fresh gas and a gray Scotchbrite, but it would be nice to be able to squirt it out with a hose and some kind of aqueous cleaner to try and get everything rinsed better.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Just go buy a gallon can of Chemtool or carb cleaner. Dump it in, swish it around, let it sit, swish again, repeat several times, then dump it back in the can when you're finished.
