To fully tuck a 35" tire into the rear wheel well, will I need to move the axle back to avoid hitting the front of the wheel well? I'll be trimming and putting bigger flares on it, but I also don't want to compromise my up travel with huge bump stops. I'm considering moving the axle back .75-1”using spring perches, but don't know if this will require new shock mounts, cause clearance issues with the exhaust, etc. Would pushing it back help at all? Is it unnecessary with 35's? The rear axle seems pretty far forward on these Jeeps.

I’d like to run 35’s, but if I’ll lose a bunch of up travel compared to 33’s I’ll just get 33’s. I’m not building a dedicated crawler, but something that needs to go fast too.
