I heard a rumor that Clifford was working on EFI for the 2F, so I wrote them about it. This is the reply I got:

Hi Morgan,

Well we currently have a Toyota fuel injection system in R&D right now and hope to have it available by the end of the year. I will be happy to add your name to my email list if any new news comes up regarding it. I've attached a photo so you can check it out.

Thanks,

Here is the picture he sent me:

Note that it's not throttle-body injection, but one injector per cylinder. Is that rightly called tuned-port injection? MPFI means multiple injectors per cylinder, right?

I asked Bill's permission to share his email with you, and he gave it.

If it comes to market I will put it on a 2F! If you want to see this as a kit for your 2F, tell Bill. His email is [email protected]

That system looks really cool. Good thing I kept a 2F powered Cruiser around. Now I have a new plan for her cruiser, HA HA HA HA (in my evil laugh to my wife).

That is a currently produced six cylinder injection system for a Jeep (I think). There is no way that it would fit on a cruiser.
I've kinda looked into this. The cruiser would be hard to do multiport because of how close the intake ports are to each other. It would almost have to have three larger injectors instead of six. (could be done though)
Plus that package is around $1200.
I would certianly be curious to see how they do a multiport injection on a cruiser. Although having a representative from clifford tell you that is a picture of one they are developing is wierd...

Morgan et al.

I had the chance to speak with a techy guy at Clifford a while back about my 292 and he didnt have many good words about the people who have been contracted out to do the online stuff. Apparently the higher ups at Clifford gave full reign to them and all tech stuff isnt referred thru the guys down at Clifford so buyer beware.
Ill hunt for the techy number down at clifford in case anyone wants to give em a buzz and find out from the horses mouth. peace.

The intake looks like it is missing the bolt flanges.

That picture is not of a cruiser manifold. That's clear. The impression I got is that the pic was to show what technology they're working on.

Clifford makes an intake manifold for the 2F, Clifford also appears to be making an intake manifold with a MPFI rail. (pic above) I am making the deduction that they can do the same MPFI mod to a cruiser intake that they show done to a Chevy intake.

Hoping it happens,

Morgan

Ive heard rumors floating around the Clifford board for months now regarding the chevy and ford intakes coming with this trick injection system as well- but no one over there seems to get any answers outa the web guys. One would think they would develop the GM stuff first given its catering to them on everything else. I know there is lotsa demand by the guys on the board. Personally im not holding my breath....but then again what do i know....i cant even get this picture thingy down right..haha. . <IMG SRC="smilies/fj.gif" border="0">
