I had a 22R and made mounts to run a York compressor. It could air up the tires real quick but blew loads of oil that needed to be filtered. Plus it was bulky and heavy.
Now I have a 22RE and the brackets I made for the York don't fit. The truck has the stock AC pump.
My ? is; has anyone used the stock AC pump for air? How about a CO2 bottle?
I can locally get a 5 gallon CO2 setup W tank mount and regulator for $200. It can supposedly fill 10-12 35" tires from 0psi-30psi and costs $10 to fill. Worth it?

Here is what I went with.

http://www.okieweb.com/outbackequipped/home.htm

Same setup as the powertank powershot setup for less.

I also like that I can put it in another truck and go or if a buddy is broke down somewhere you cant get to, just take air to him.

If its there, you might as well use it. ;)
The factory pump isn't much slower than a York.

OOP's has a Powertank and and a/c pump. I think he's said they pump up tires the same speed but he uses the a/c for tires and saves the PT for air tools...

Here you go, the best price around...

I have the 20 gallon and really like it, have purchased the 10 gallon for raffle prizes, great size.

Regulators: $15.25 *** 150 lbs. will be standard ***
10# Aluminum tank: $73 *** BRAND NEW TANK with handle ***
20# Aluminum tank: $91 *** BRAND NEW TANK with handle ***
Shipping is $15 for a 10# tank and regulator, and $21 for a 20# tank and regulator.
So, you can get a NEW 10# aluminum tank and regulator for $88.25 + $15 for
shipping = $103.25. And those of you that want 20# tanks, your price is
$106.25 + $21 for shipping = $127.25. Not too shabby.

The regulators are 150 PSI Hi Flow CO2 regulators (will not freeze) and have permanent O ring.
