I am going to sell it if I can get close to my asking price. Its not yet a necessity, but would help simplify my life at a rather involved, but still exciting, time period.

Nevermind. I have decided to keep my Landcruiser for now. I am buying a Ranger O/D and will continue w/my Vortec engine swap & will daily drive the FJ40, once the swap is complete.

I had a similar delima. I almost sold my 77 due to mounting bills caused by my wife being in two accidents in 3 months and other things breaking that sucked a lot of money out of the savings account. I also changed my mind.It gets in your blood and its hard to get them out.

Two accidents in just 3 months sounds pretty rough. My situation isn't wuite that bad. I just reached a point where I got tired of spending money. It seemed like I still had a lot more money to spend before I even had all of my parts. Once I found the great Holiday sale price on the Ranger O/D from Jeremy at Crawltech, I decided to finish my project. I want to get the engine swap complete before I do any body work. I figured I would be better off with the vehicle in good running/driving condition(with the Vortec), before I started the cosmetic crap. I had a '99 model C5 Corvette before my FJ40 and it wasn't as much fun to work on b/c it didn't need anything. You can't do that much to a 12k mile car, unless you start doing internal engine mods, which have to be accompanied by $$$ computer mods, exhaust mods, etc. The Landcruiser, even w/the Vortec, should be much simpler. I hope I don't eat those words.
