Does anyone know the width of the front and rear dana44/corp 10 axels from a late eighties blazer?

I doubt you are going to get an answer for that on this board. 10 bolts are pretty crappy axles IMHO, or at least not enough of an upgrade to be worthwhile.

TornadoTJ Thanks for the helpfull answer.
If you must know I've been looking at a set of axels off a 80's J-20 P/U. If you didn't know it is possible to swap in corp 10 bolt shafts to go from a 8-lug 16" wheel to a 6-lug 15" wheel and bolt pattern. The dana 60 and dana 44 used on the J-20 (post 1974) use the 30 spline 1 5/16" diameter shafts.

if you're going to go to the trouble of swapping axles, get 1 tons. yeesh.

not like the 20s aren't already 3/4 ton.

you can get 8 bolt 15" rims for like $30 a piece max. hell, around here you can get 'em for $15.

Actually, JMac, it was a helpful answer. You don't see anyone swapping in D35's, and when someone asks about fixing them up, the answer is to not waste their money. One never knows who knows the difference between axles. I was passing along to you that 10 bolts are probably not worth the effort. So right back at you!

10 bolts use different spline counts and shaft diamaeter than 44. Besides to swap from 8 lug to 6 or 5 lug all you need to do is swap the outers The stub shaft, knuckles, and bearing spindles (2 different choices) are all the same.
