Im wanting to get a 350 TBI out of a junk yard, what all do I need to make the engine run? Do I need a special chip burned to make the computer work? I want to bolt this up to an SM-465, to an Np-203, Will this affect the computer going to this manual tranny? How much am I looking to do this swap My self, With custom motor mounts made by me to help get away a little cheaper..

If you do the work yourself, tyou can expect to pay $2500 or so total. Get the complete harness, computer, all accessories, electric fan, and manual flywheel. Make sure you also get the chip for the manual trans motor and exhaust mani's that will turn inside of the frame.

If you need those I have some I want to sell. I am not using them(project turn). If interested PM me.

I agree with SweetCJ7 on that price but things can quickly get out of hand.

Exhaust and drivelines and clutch related items are going to be a fair chunk of money. It just seems like you get nickle and dimed to death!

Get everything you can with the donor engine. In addition to what SweetCJ7 mentioned, get the charcoal cannister, starter and as much of the vacuum hoses, rtadiator and heater hoses as possible. The little things add up!

You'll need a Fuel Pump too.

I paid $1100 for my motor. My swap ended up costing me around $4000. I replaced all maintanence items (plugs, wires, rotor...).
I bought new radiator, hoses, clutch, flywheel, howell harness......
The costs add up really fast. It's amazing how much little sh$t costs. Wire loom, zip ties, all kinds of fasteners. I ended up changing all my gauges. The gauges and were about $400 alone.

$1500 for my 91 TBI motor, but that came with EVERYTHING. Flywheel, exhaust mani's, fan, hoses, wires etc. etc. Extra's include clutch, wireing harness, prom's (or chips), motor mounts, AA bellhousing (my T18 bolted right up!) and other odds and ends...

I think mine eneded up around $3500 or more by the time I rolled it out the driveway.

Good luck. Oh, and by the way... it was worth every damn penny!!!

mine ended up costing about $5000. spun a rod bearing so that put me back about a thousand for the rebuild. Little crap does add up quick. I would recommend buying some MORE after market mounts it will save you so much time. It bolts in and your done. Took me about three hours to make mine and about a year later got the MORE mounts and put them in. Alot nicer. The stock engine mounts are crap i broke one in half so thats why I went to the MORE mounts. Harness will be about $400 unless your daring and rewire the original. Fuel pump, radiator, fan(electric) unless you will use the mechanical. And a whole lot of other shit.
