Lift blocks in rear....I know its been covered many times...but pointing rear pinion toward output shaft on rear of transmission....I just dont get it...when rear pinion and output shaft ....on rear of transmission is supposed to b parallel ....I thought....

Thats what I got ...so I am correct on the ujoint on each end...ive seen a few conversation where they turn the pinion up without having a double cardion joint on transmission end...and wander why they have vibration

You have to change the pinion a bit...up or down,


If you don't it will kill the ujoint at the pinion, it relys on that offset to spin the bearings in the joint.

Someone will pop in here and say one or the other is wrong. It doesnt have to be drastic.

The old dodge cars had the rear end offset to the side to get this effect.

One more question...can you use the adjustable traction bars.....the ones with 4 inches of threads on the end to sorta dial it in a couple degrees...instead if shims

Think about that question.

Are the traction bars going to change the fact that the ubolts are a fixed, hard mount for the axle to the leaf springs?
