I have been searching how to convert my 86 Waggy 44 to 5 lug and found I need 76 or older chevy spindles, calipers and backing plates. Then get 76-92 ford bearings, hubs an rotors.

But, can I just swap out all the Waggy outers to Ford with '78 caliper brackets, calipers and rotor/hubs if I use the 6 hole chevy spindles? What flat top knuckles should I look for?

You only need to swap your waggy spindles to older waggy, or chevy ones. Then use the Ford Bronco or f150 bearing hub and rotor. No need to swap the caliper's and brackets.

However, you can swap to entire Ford outers too..but This is usually harder to do since the parts are rarer than Chevy and Jeep.
