i've searched here and elsewhere and am yet to find a direct answer, does anyone know what a full width d44 from a 99 dodge ram weighs? doesn't have to be dead on, i'm just looking for something close enough so i can give a buyer a shipping quote...

Im not real sure what it weighs??? But If you know what you yourself weighs pick up the axle and step on the scales then subtract to find what the axle weighs:flipoff2:

Really, I just got rid of my rear TJ 44 and helped the fella put the axle in his truck. Didnt seen too heavy. Probaly a little under 200#, Quessing. Yours is a little more than that probaly.

Well since Rufus isn't getting back to us I'll post my approximations for either end:

Front ~350lb
Rear ~250lb

That should be close enough for getting shipping quotes.

yes, it's a coil sprung front d44. i was guessing under 350 as well, i have a chevy d44 sitting in the yard and two people can move it pretty easily. it's bare though, the axle i'll be shipping has coil buckets, control arm mounts, etc on it.
