I'm planning to put a couple of these (2 to be more specific) under my vehicle (TJ to be more specific)...
I have searched, but haven't come up with so much, so I'm wondering is there anybody out there who has some more info, like angles, width, bracketry and so on.

Yes, yes, I know what angles I need, I know what width I want - but I would like to have some input - there is after all a chance (slight )that I might have made a brainfart somewhere!

So, any input...

TIA

/F.

Have a brain fart while building TJ axle's.

Been there done that. All those brackets suck just go back and double check everything again. I am sure it will all clear itself up.

Other than the brackets there ain't nothing else to special about it.

Who set-up the gears and installed the axle?
What axle do you have in the front?

Hmmm, where shall I start?
I'm having them built (not ordered yet) by a wellknown 4x4-shop. They're going to sit under a 4" lift, and it will be Tera's D60R.
Re. the brackets I'm mostly curious about the angles. Like this:
Front: Pinion should point some 10° up, Springplates should be horizontal and the spindles should be set for a 7° caster.
Bracket for the trackrod should be rotated slightly rearwards.
Rear: Pretty much the same, but the pinion will need to point some more upwards.
The width shall be 62.5" front and rear.

Originally I thought I should double them - going from Dana30 to a 60 up front and from a 35C to a 70, but then I decided "60" will do...

Finally a short excuse: I would have preferred to build them myself, but there are some slight obstacles wich I can't manage to overcome - I don't know how to weld and trying to find a decent Dana60 - let alone a R60 over here is close to impossible!

TIA

Folk, Mine isnt a 60 but close enough.
Its a RR dana 44 We built it up from just the center section. this is the rear end I am refering too.
My rear pinion is pointed up 18 degrees.
So you might want to think about that.
As for lenght. I just did it the easy way and used the stock TJ dana 44 shafts. That way when it breaks I can get one easy.

As for the brackets. RE will cost about 500 bucks just for one axle.

You will do better to fab up a jig and then cut yours off with a plasma cutter and re weld yours on.

Just be carefull to be exact on your jig. we have used our jig 3 times on rears so far with excellent results.
Mine, Badassjeepguys curry hi 9, and we just did a 8.8 for a tj.

Be very exact with your jig. (I mean the person welding it up for you.)

Good luck.
