Naw, my dead 242 i had, i couldnt get that damed pin out of the shift rail, so with the advice of an elderly neighbor, "just break the sob open". :D So I did :D


all i needed from my old 242 was the input shaft...


:p

I carefully rebuilt the new 242 (thank you gary!), its now installed, with a SYE...

Do you have a use for the busted ass piece of junk :eek: - I am kinda looking for a front case half to cut up for a reduction box deal - What input did you have to swap out 21 or 23 spline???

Perhaps we could work out an arrangment for the case remains and the low-range planetary gears (plus your old input if you dont need it any more) :flipoff2:

Let me know what you think - (as the vulture swoops in :D )

NO - it looks like you smashed the crap out of a t-case! and I was hoping to give it a new life as it's current employment opportunities look pretty grim - at least I beat the rest of the pack to it - bastards! how could they :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

If you want to keep your handywork no biggie - just thought I'd ask :p
