Hey all... came upon this "80's Jeep Transfer Case" for sale locally this evening. I havnt been able to contact the seller yet. However, with the price its listed at I'd like to jump on it.

With all the research I've done with comparing photos and such, its a Dana 300. What might be a long output?

Just looking for some confirmation for some more experienced folks.

That looks like a jeep model 20.

Ah... the Jeep Dana 300 had the 6 bolt round pattern.

This one, the Scout 300... has the Texas pattern which is close to the Dana 20.

Idk what ih used for a shifter with their 300s but the whole thing screams jeep cj5 d20.

But the handle with the flat spot in the middle does look different

i think you’re right. The drain plug on the side is Dana 20. International 20’s the shift rails aren’t inline. And searching jeep Dana 20 I saw one shifter that looked similar.
Definitely not Jeep Dana 300 though.

This is a cj 300 with an adapter on the input.

D300 have aluminum shift tower, tail housing and front output rear cover.
The also have a retained female 23spl input not a gear that is assembled on to the trans output shaft.

Now I have myself convinced it's a D20...

Seeing as I have a D18 now...I think I'm going to stick with what I have.

If anyone is looking for 2 Dana 20s however...I know where 2 can be found
