i have been searching for a front 60 for my jeep here recently.

tonight i located two..same guy has them....... he said they have adapters on the hubs to run buddwheels..... said they just unbolt from the original hub and you can put a regular 8 lug wheel on.......

this true?...... is it just like a regular wheel adapter pretty much/?..he said there was a short shaft that needed removed too.... that was used so you could be able to lock the hubs in??

im cornfused on this one...... can ya'll enlighten me please!

Some axles do have a removable dually adapter. The unit bearing Dodge "Disconnect" Dana 60 is one and the unit bearing Ford Superduty Dana 60 is the other. The 78-97 Ford Dana 60's, 93 and down Dodges, and GM Dana 60's had dually specific bearing hubs.

What kind of Dana 60 do you have?

That isn't right. He probably just has 2 drw D60's and hasnt really looked at them closely or ever had them apart.
Ahh alas, I have the Ford versions on both of my Superdutys. And the adapters do just bolt on to the regular wheel studs.
