Does any one know of any one who sells a rebuild kit for Ford Dana 60's?

Are the bearings and seals the same as GM?

Also, why can't we use 35 spline outers in a Ford? <IMG SRC="smilies/nuke.gif" border="0">

what do you mean by "rebuild kit"?
like pinion & carrier bearings, wheel bearings, or both?
as far as I know all bearings are interchangeable between ford/gm/dodge open knuckle 60s, but don't quote me on that one.

the only 35 spline outters currently made are for GM & Dodge only. Ford uses a shorter stub axle, & therefore they won't swap in. I have heard of people adapting them though, & rumor has it a company is working on 35-spline Ford chromoly stubs, but I havn't seen them yet.

There are 35 spline Ford stubs out there. You can use them with a slight modification to the Spicer hub. I do believe they are Ford specific and not just GM modified. I know someone with a pair of shafts for $150/each and he'll modify your hubs to accept them. I can find out more info if you want.

I think Chrommoly 35 spline stubs is way overkill. Most find that the cost of the 35spline upgrade isn't even worth the cost. They are much harder to replace

I mean pretty much all the bearings and seals except for the carrier and the pinion.

Hey BroncoRob, that would be cool. Get the info if it's not too much trouble, Thnaks

I don't know of anyone that makes a kit for those. All you need are 2 inner wheel bearings & races, 2 outter wheel bearings & races, 2 seals, & 2 spindle bearings. The spindle bearings are the only hard part to track down.

Those are the seals for the outer axle that come with the spindle bearings. There is also a seal for the inner axle that you have to remove the carier to replace. You can buy those from ford or a spicer distributer but if you replace those you might as well do the pinion seal too.
