Hey, i have got an 85 toyota truck, and i want to put a Dana 60 upfront, i was wondering if i had to move the spring hangers out to account for the dana 60 being wider then the toyota front, or are the spring perches on each axle set at the same width? If not how would i go about mounting the rear shackles on the front springs? Thanks for the help.

first of all i am going to say SEARCH this has been covered tons of times.

but for a real answer when i put my 60 up front i narrowed the longside housing 3" and got a custom shaft made, if you really want that extra 3inches you would have to outboard your shackles and make a new spring hanger. IMHO i would cut it down and get a new longside shaft easier than reworking the spring set up.

as for width the chevy is i believe 32" betweenspring perches and toyota is 29 inches
