If you want to go below 5.13 on your ratio, you'll have to go 70. Could be different selection of lockers & L/S's also. No practical strength/clearance advantage with either over the other.

I'd go for the 14 bolt. Much easier to get used parts for at the local Pick N Pull. Bigger selection of brake options including rear disc conversions. Easy access pinion section. Much easier to set up gears for. Only weakness is the sheet metal diff cover. You need to run a skid plate or fab up a cover out of pieces of plate all welded together. For most anyone using a 14bolt--they have a V8 and 5:13 is plenty.

I dig my 70. I put a front 60 cover (THICK) on it and trimmed the housing to fit. Gear and locker selection is also a little broader (We know how you love those ARB's).

Honestly I don't think there is really any strength advantage to either one, with the exception of the 14-bolts pinion spline, it's HUGE.

Go for the one you get the best deal on. Yes gears are easyer to setup but how often do you do this? I think you can go 37 spline on the 70 and there are more gear and locker choices for the 70 also.
