Ok so I takeing the ridge off the top of the cylender of my 425 caddy. It wasnt a big ridge, nothing out of the norm or extreem. But the de ridger too was taking so long. I was at it for about 45 minuts. and I'm still not done (still a bit left) Is it sopost to take this long :eek:

check the cutting edge and see if it is shot. i just did my 360 and it was like 5-6min per with a new cutter

What ya trying to do it with a dingle ball hone or a butter knife???Should be more then about a half hour job at the most....09

I had a 472 caddy rebuilt. The blocks have high nickel content and are very hard. The machine shop told me they had a hard time boring it over and that it dulled the tools much quicker.
