I've been working on the cruiser this weekend. My brother and I removed the bodylift and found and solved some electrical problems.
With the Finnish bootie fab body lift

Without the the body lift

The Finnish bootie fab body lift :D

Could this be a exhaust system for a fj40??

What's the purpose of the red light and the switch below?

Is that a vacume light for the 4x4 or is there a shifter on the floor?

My Cruiser has a red light on the dash for when it is in 4WD.

Looks like a E- Brake On light.:skull:
2nd this. It has to be the brake light. My '75BJ40 has this (different style, tho) in the exact same location IIRC.... Wait, no, mine is just where the small knob is... Oh well... :flipoff2:

my vote goes to a brake warning light, my 74 FJ40 had a warning light in that same location. It was always coming on cause my brakes were always bad :(

Either that, or a turn signal indicator:smokin:
Mine's a 66', that's where mine was located and it was red ( of course, one on the opposite side of that also:rolleyes: )
