Detroit locker question???

I myself have never owned a full carrier detroit locker (love my ARBs), but I saw this on another board:

The detroit is acting up really bad, its banging(ratcheting) about 15 times in the first mile the jeep is driven then quiets down to the way it normally drives.

If it helps it's for a D35c. Is this normal for Full carrier detroits? He never said how old the locker is, but maybe it's an install error, or just too many miles wearing it out? My brothers old lock-right used to act up at first, but then again it :nuke: after a couple months. Thoughts?

A bent housing won't let the locker ratchet, I'd say uneven tire size/psi.
Bent housing will bind the locker up and eventually explode the internals into MEElllions of leetle peeeeces.
