So my detroit is broken ( probably haven't tore it apart yet).

Not sure if I want to fix it, or look at getting a grizzly.

Everyone has said the griz is stronger if you break a shaft. Anyone actually have experience with this?

Stock shafts the 60 for now. Hoping to upgrade soon.

So better to fix the detroit or buy a grizzly

how long have you been running the detroit?

ive only had mine in for a few months, but i seem to like it and hasnt broke.

before i bought my detroit i thought about buying a grizzly.

i guess see what it would take to fix the one you have, and if its more than you feel its worth then id try something different.

I have a King of the hammers stock class XJ. I have a Rockjock D60 in the front.

Long story short- hit a bolder, ripped the welds off the housing to tube, and tracked the housing, dislodging the tube bad. I think the only thing holding the tube somewhat straight was the Grixxly locker and how deep the spline engaugment was. drove it about 2 miles back to camp. hbuilt a whole new rockjock the following day, swapped over the grizzly and Yukon axles and ujoints.

Ran our race. Not one issue. Would a detroit have done that, maybe. But I know that with the 1 yr warranty that covers not only the locker but ALSO anything else it may damage, if it fails, up to 2 grand, its an easy discission for me.
