Hello there my name is Achilleas and i am from GREECE i have a Daihatsu Feroza and i want to swap the rear diff with an older version of HIACE which has diff ratio 5.28(same as stock Feroza)look the link above.

http://akb.norbie.net/Public/AxleList.aspx?ModelID=8

The diff code is G162 we are looking for, i want that diff in order to fit a locker (lock right-detroit) does anyone used such a HIACE diff? We would like some info and pictures of that diff because here its hard to just borrow a diff to take measurements.

Another way is also to find an 8 inch diff and fit a yukon 5.29 ratio but to much money to do that in Greece.

No feroza locker does excist only an ARB type locker that a mechanic in Greece has created but asks to much money so either i do a swap diff or i buy an other 4x4

Thanks in advance

ummm...... I had never heard of a hiace so I had to look it up..looks like what we call a van

I have only seen one or two Rocky's (ferozas) here in the states so I cant really give ya any info on swapping differentials. seem like since they are made by Toyota it would have a standard 8 inch diff in it maybe? if that is the case Aussie locker would make something for you. you could always weld the spider gears or get a spool for cheap.

look at the FAQ 2.0 at the top of the forum page, has a lot of good info on Toyota's

You might try a truck (hilux) axle? hell I would sell my all my vehicles to have a turbo diesel hilux or landcruiser

these sites might be of help http://www.warfs.org/ or http://www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/

thats all I have........... how about some pictures of Greece offroading :smokin:

Well Feroza its like a Toyota (tough and well made for 4x4) but its has very small diffs (smaller than an 7.5 inch) so there is no locker for it. I am a very old user of ww.warfs.com and other daihatsu forums like www.outerlimits4x4.com (the best for Feroza). I thought for a mini spool but there is no mini spool with 27 splines to fit in my small diff.

Here are some pictures from Greece
First open videos and until the are ready watch my pictures.
