I realize this is kinda a n00b question, but here it goes anyways:

My brother just got a toy truck and the emmissions on it is a total load of bullshit. It's confusing as hell. Is there a way to ditch this - we we're looking at a new carb from Weber, will this pull out all the random hosing going all over the place?

Secondly: If they put the truck on a sniffer test could you tune the weber to where it still passes in AZ. Keep in mind that it went through emmisions yesterday (with a sniffer) and even with like half of the hoses mixed up/rotter/disconnected/missing (not our fault, previous owner - I swear) it passed.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Tnx!

Are you serious? You are asking us how to remove all the emissions equipment...and then make it pass emissions??

What's so hard to believe about that?

I have just about all of my emissions egipment removed and I pass DEQ in Oregon. I'm running a Weber carb now. You have to make up some block off plates for the EGR if you want to get rid of that. Mine had been broken for who knows how many years before I removed it. Also, all those miles of vacume hoses around the carb are scary. A vacume leak waiting to happen.
