What years did Ford offer the divorced mounted NP205? Were they in both the 1/2 and 3/4 models.

TIA

[/QUOTE]73 to 77-1/2 F250 only
Those are the correct years. I had one in a 76 F250 Crew cab. Anyone ever stack a divorced case behind a married case to use as a doubler?

That is exactly my plan. Mate the 205 behind the D300 for a 4:60 to 1 low range. I have a friend who has done this with a FSJ Cherooke. Works well, only drawback is the rather lengthy front drive shaft.

This is getting real picky, but I believe the rato for the NP205 is 1.96:1. So you do the math 2.6:1 x 1.96:1? <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Saw one drag racing a few weeks ago (100yard dirt drags).

Ford pickup with a Chevy (!!) '44 front.

Married NP205, then the Ford divorced NP205 (yes, left drop) and then the driveshaft went from the left-drop all the way over to the passenger diff up front.

Dunno why it was done that way, but it was.
