i was pondering if you move the connecting point of the drag link to the side, insted of mounted on the top. what would happen?

stock= _____ rod in top of plate
__]__ plate

idea:
-[] moved 45 degrees to the right
_|_

it looks like crap and probably makes no sence.

i was thinking of welding it to the top. it would be cheaper then doing the cross over and it wouldn't get bottomed out and break when it was flexed.

Maybe I am not understanding, you are going to mount it to the side of the steering arm <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0"> What are you planning to do when it needs to pivot?, rotate?, and how are you planning on re-enforcing it? IMHO, I think it would be damgerous. Too many "what ifs" to cover. Save up and do it right.

Yeah sounds to dangerous. quit being cheep and buy the crossover ...you will be glad u did
