Im new to the driveshaft game. I would like to know if you can run the H yoke without the ball and socket ? You ask WTH is he talking about ?
This my friends is WTH im talkin bout'

BTW These pictures were taken from arizona driveline.

Can I use this

with out this

why would you want to run it with out the guts and jut the two ujoints, im sure the center section is for limiting the cv so it cant be over angulated

Yea thats what I figured I was just curious if in fact it wouldnt work.
I figured it would over angulate itself hahaha

The reason the center is there is so the CV runs true. Without it, your CV would flop around, bind, and explode.

Answer is no, you canot use a CV without its center.

Oh and forget Arizona drivelines exists and click on the link in my signature. The guy from Arizona driveline is a complete hack.

That second picture is the part that connects your CV joint to your flange on the t-case. You have to have it.
That last picture is the CV weld yoke. That's the part that welds to the tube of the driveshaft. You have to have it.
