every inch of belly clearance is worth 2 inches of tire size!!!!!!!!!!run 35's and raise the drivetrain 2 inches(actually 5" if you get a low profile crossmember) and its like running a 45 inch tire, with respect to belly clearance...

Too me it's all about the x-member.
My buddie with a three inch body lift has shifter boot probs. This is all solved with the drivetrain lift. BTW just got a set of 4crawlers motor lift blocks and I must say VERY good quallity.

What's up vincent! I a drivetrain lift over the summer and must say that it came out sweet! I used Roger's engine lift blocks, built a new xmember, torched out the horsecollar xmember, and also lifted the gas tank 2". It's almost completely smooth and my xfer case crossmember is really beefy and very smooth should I drag it over the rocks! There are quite a few little things like messing witht the fuel lines (or at least I did) but the result is well worth it. I say go for it. Your trucks coming right along since we were on the con last summer. Take it easy man.

you got rid of your horsecollar too?? mines gone(in the center) but with the added rigidity of rocksliders and the dual case xmember(sits back a bit farther) i have no plans to change this or worry about frame flex...u??

No, I still have it, but it's moved up 2" now. I knew that I was going to need a cv shaft in the rear so I moved it up as much as I could, did the rear gastank mount to match but I still had to clearance it quite a bit to prevent the cv shaft from rubbing. I also have rock sliders and a beefy xfer case crossmember so I'm not really worried about it. The truck's not a daily driver either so I'm not worried about it. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
