Ok it I center up my steering box its 2 complete turns of the steering wheel from left to center and right to center.

I bought a used dropped drag like from a friend of a friend. It looks like if i extend the ends there will be half inch +of thread left, Is this ok?

Dont worry I will be getting high steer soon enough. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

1/2" of threads showing or inside? If inside, that seems alittle short.

1/2 inside, should the steering box be centered when installing? with the wheels straight.

yes centering the box with the wheels straight is the right way to do it, but only 1/2in of threads left on both ends? i "personally" would not run this combo, or want to be in oncoming traffic while you drove it, it just seems a little inadiquate to me (that's my opinion, i am entitled) have you thougth about moving the pitman arm back a notch or two??

I had to do this after every wheeling trip
until I went high steer, When you think you
have the box centered, see if the distance
is the same to each stop (pitman arm to frame
bracket stops) if it is, its time for cross-
over... <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
