is there a way to use transfer cases that are not 'top load' ??? can the slider rod case be used for the 'high/low' front box before the adapter ?? I realise that a top load box must be used at the tail end. (just trying to get out of buying TWO more transfer cases !!) <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0">

I thought there was a way to modify either case for use in either position......ie just changing the shift rods?

As posted in the Krusty K-5 thread, Marlin can convert a front shift to a top shift box for $75 (that's what I paid).

I have heard of a adapter shifter kit for $75--- but I can get a top load box for $50 !! So I guess I'll run a carb box on the front and a EFI box on the rear !!? (as soon as UPS brings the adapter !)
