Ok, so I stumbled on a great deal on an early 90's chevy 350. It was pulled and replaced because of a severe rod knock. the engine runs, but is fairly noisy. So the deal is, I am going to strip it, and start building for a future Buggy. I really dont want to crank out alot of ponies, but I cant see myself leaving it just bone stock. What kind of low budget mods would you guys plan on this engine. The engine has the wiring harness, dizzy, and the TBI still on it. I know I have to replace the lower end bearings, and the upper bearings, as well as a cracked intake manifold (broken during the removal). Otherwise, it is all there. But who can resist a little change.

slap on a set of 64 or 67cc heads. and use .022 gaskets to up your comp. if you have flat pistons. If they are dish you need to change pistons.then keep the heads you have.P.A.W. is super cheap. headers. budget.

ps if you go with old fuelie heads you'll have to change the intake.
