Careful lifting the 8284, they be heavy. Dimensions for the mounting plate are in the instruction manual-like you didn't read it cover to cover already...

As far as gifts go: My wife is frustrated with my gift requests of an engine hoist and an air powered nail gun. I think she wants me to ask for sweaters and ties and that ain't gonna happen.

GF is getting the Cruiser education that's all I gotta say about that. in discussing co-habitation priorities are on shop space and closets. If the closet is big enough I can stash parts in it and not clutter the shop! I'm all for it! But that's gonna be a while!

On keeping a winch from being stolen? Couldn't you just weld the bolts (tack) to the bumper? Make it a bit harder? Or use a 12 point bolt.. People look at those things like their wacky and can't use a tool on em!

my experience is that if they want the winch they will take it. if you weld the bolts they will take the whole bumper. if you weld the bumper on they will take the whole truck.
