Are you talkng about a D35?

The 44 is more angular and has a threaded fill plug.

The 35 is more round shaped and has a rubber fill plug.

Here's where I'm supposed to say "Take this to www.jeepsunlimited.com , you fawkin' newbie!!!"

I think he probably means d30 and d44. Maybe he's looking for a scout or bronco front axle and doesnt want to get stuck w/ the 30. there is a 30 or 44 cast on the diff, at least my 30 and 44 both have them, and every d35 I've seen does too. its usually on the bottom of some webbing.

Yeah, but if you follow up the with a quick , it negates the angry effects and thus turns it into ....or something like that.

Maybe you should give yourself a because many D35 had a threaded plug.

If you're lookin for a front D44 for SAS then you should look at EB Dana 44 axles, and then a Dana 30 is possible.

If you're lookin for a Rear Dana 44... why? the toy axle you have is fine

anyway, memorize the bolt cover shape is one way, or learn how to read the bill of materials stamped on the axle. ( Do a Search to learn how to do this )

Honestly, yes. But at least you are brave enough to admit it on a board of mean fawqers like us. It takes alot of balls to admit that you are a newbie. I like that. So I'm not going to pound on you too bad. After all, you are going from a Yota to Jeep, so you can't be that bad. (I love both, so there's no issue there, really.)

Anyway, a CJ5 has a curved doorwell and is 10" shorter than a CJ7. A CJ7 has a rectangular doorwell and is 10" longer than a CJ5. A CJ6 has a curved doorwell and is 10" longer than a CJ7. A CJ8 has a rectangular doorwell and is also 10" longer than a CJ7. A YJ and TJ both are the same size as a CJ7. (Tubs are even somewhat interchangeable.) A YJ has square headlights and a TJ has round ones with a coil suspension. All CJ's had round headlights except for CJ10's, to my knowledge. Also, CJ's had rounded rear wheel wells and the squared off ones started on the YJ's and remained since. That's all for your Jeep crash course for now.

when I was a newbie I din't go to the extreme board to ask questions that a simple search on Google could've answered. He has been here for a while and should know just how brutal this place can be. I say away
