all this building of the 40 just took off on me. i was goign threw some old pics and some of others 40's online and was thinking how nice mine was(its still nice just not road worthy leagally) i thinkim gonan build a nice 40 as a daily d soon. rambling againarent i, oh well, anyone else get these thoughts? jiMMy
it would be cool. theres su,mthin about x-tra clean 40s that are cool. i saw a diesel 40 factory kind of clean. it was soooooo clean. wow
and even the original vinyl floor mats are unmarked, and its soo nice, he likes mine and i like his!
his: fuel economical, quiet, tame, not attantion grabbing
mine: jacked like a slut, loud, thirsty, very police mans attention
I just keep thinking back to when I was wheeling my rig stock. That was so much fun just figuring out what it would actually do. So I've also been thinkin' mabey I'll buy another cruiser, keep this one pretty stock and just drive it around town, some light wheelin' perhaps, just get back to the basics and save the hardcore rig for the hardcore runs.
Of course then I probalby wouldn't be satisfied with that and the build up process would start all over again.
Yeah, jiMMy, Ian (COMPLAINE)was expressing the same thoughts the other day - talked about having a stock daily driver/moderate wheeler as well as a built trail rig. If any of you folks out there have a nice clean stocker that you are thinking about building up and heavily modify, I say stop and think about it first! Maybe find a trashed stocker and build it into a kick ass trail rig instead. Andy

Damn, that is purdy, Morgan! You better take some pics of your 80 while it still looks good! Something to look back on after your first trip to HH!
I feel the same way. I want to get another cruiser and make real nice with all the stock stuff. To bad I barely have money for the one I have now

Mine is really squirrly on the asphalt but I sure love it on the trail!
I think back to another Cruiser I had, a 1974 FJ40, that was in my family for a long long time.......I should shoot myself for ever letting it go. It had great potential to be a fully restored rig.
Someday I'll get me a street stocker, I'd sure like to have a nice clean 55.
