350 - 454 engine mounts for pickups in the 73-87 year range should all be the same as far as bolt patterns, dimensions ect. And someone correct me if I am wrong, but the 6.2 should use the same mounts too.

GMC Truxrule is Correct
they are all the same 73 - 87 for the pick ups . k5's and burbs and crew cabs only the pickups and extended cabs changed in 88 all the rest stayed the same till 91 ill put $100.00 on it
as i have been there done that several different times
but 1 thing to rember when going to the 6.2 is to change the torqe converter due to lower rpms

thanks for the tips. gave me the answers i was looking for. But, to correct any ideas, as seen in a couple of my other posts, what i have now is a C10 6.2 burb. My plan is to drop the 6.2 and body onto a k10 or k20 frame w/ axles, and swap out to an NV4500 and atlas 2 speed.

There was a bit of a difference in the mounting of the 6.2/454 on original GM mounts. All other engines (I believe) used the bolt holes on the "corners" of the mount, (I think only 3 bolts though) where the 6.2/454 used one in the center on bottom. I am not at home at the moment to look at my frames, to verify. SOME, but not all of the aftermarket motor mounts will have 3 holes in the bottom.
Everything else should be the same.

I guess thats why i took a factory 454 out and put in a 350 there were different mounts

Now the truck i did that on was 2wd but there was a for sure difference.

As a matter of fact when i tryed to sell the mounts some know it all popped in on how i was trying to rook people advertising them as BB mounts and there wasnt a difference.

\ But in the end after calling some dealerships the guy ended up buying my stands so he would have the right ones for his conversion.

Not sayin one wont work for the other but there is a difference and i belive it is in the height of the engine .

When i swapped over to a SB i had to redrill the bottom hole when i changed over to SB Stands.. I Guess The ClamShells Are The Same But There Is A Noticeable diff. in the stands. my trans never moved for the swap and im running the same BB exhaust on Factor Sb Ex Manifold Stainless Headers

Big Block 73 Has My Old Mounts And I Know For A Fact There Is A Difference From When i Took My 85C20 And Swapped From Factory 454- 350

I Changed over to 1/2 Sb Stands Redrilled The Bottom Hole And Thats It Using Same Trans Location Same Exhaust Pipes On Sb Header Style High Heat Manifolds.


Not Trying To Be A Smart Ass Or Know It All But There Is A Difference And Ive Held Both Stands In My Hand And Looked Them Over As The Guy That Purchased Them From Me Pic's Show Compared To His Sb Mounts.

So GMC Truxle You Stand Corrected And xsintrick1 "You Better Put That Money In My Hand Im My Hand"
